This vintage Polish theatre poster is an absolute classic from the Polish School of Posters. It’s an official 1979 reprint of the original 1964 print by legendary artist Jan Lenica for a production of famous French opera Faust by Charles Gounod in the Teatr Wielki.

This beautiful poster is held in museums around the world including the V&A and the Stedelijk.

Polish posters were printed in strictly limited runs to be displayed in town centres, theatres and cinemas - so any which survive have been lovingly rescued along the way.

For us, nothing comes close to the soulful charm of vintage Polish posters; the colours, the offset lithography, the matt paper. But please note, due to their age, many do bear marks of time.
