We love this version of Maria Mucha Ihnatowicz 1981 vintage Polish poster for film ‘Wielka Majowka’ (The Big Picnic). She has another illustrative design for the same film which is very collectable, but this one is also special as it’s so different to her usual style. We love the composition and colours.

Polish B1 size: 67 x 96.5 cm

Condition: there are some minor creaces at the top corner of the poster. Please see additional images.

Polish posters were printed in strictly limited runs to be displayed in town centres, theatres and cinemas - so any which survive have been lovingly rescued along the way.

For us, nothing comes close to the soulful charm of vintage Polish posters; the colours, the offset lithography, the matt paper. But please note, due to their age, many do bear marks of time.
